Women's Retreat
Please join the women of Grace for the annual spiritual retreat at Stony Point Retreat Center in Nyack, NY, from February 21 & 22, 2020. We will once again gather in the lovely Victorian Sloan house to discuss topics and tools to restore, renew and refresh our energy in 2020. The formal retreat will start at 5:00 pm Friday and run through 4:00 pm Saturday, with the option to stay an extra night if you are enjoying the escape and quiet, however, this is not a silent retreat.
The retreat is designed for 16 women, there are still spaces available. Payment reserves your spot in the retreat. Meals and retreat leader fee are included.
Cost for one night:
single room $300
shared room $250 per person
Our Facilitator
Ann Douglas was ordained a Deacon in the Diocese of New York in 2009. She has served at St John’s, Cornwall, and All Saints’, Briarcliff Manor. Ann’s external ministry, beyond her duties at the parish, has been to volunteer with the women at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility, the only maximum security prison for women in NY State. Initially, in 2004, the option was to visit a few women and, as a Eucharistic Visitor to bring communion to those who wished it. Then, the facility approved a weekly Eucharist service on Monday afternoons in June of 2009. Ann invited her husband, Dwight, to serve as musician and choir master and Betsy Roadman, to serve as priest to the congregation which was growing. In the intervening ten years, we have had visits from several Diocesan Bishops, served with the facility Catholic and Protestant chaplains, in their services, and participated in many spiritual conversations and bible studies. It is rewarding and wonderful work.
