Pandemic Hunger Relief

Food Collections is at Grace Church every Saturday from 10am to noon. 
Stop by for a quick and easy drop-off of non-perishable food at here at Grace Church. At noon, the donations are immediately delivered to our partners.
 
Want to shop online?  Order from the Walmart Registry and your donation will be sent to the Hughes home for delivery. North Porch donations are delivered weekly so we are always collecting for them.

Grace Church is responding to the growing numbers of individuals, families, and children in New Jersey who are food insecure due to the pandemic. We have increased the number of organizations that we partner with and are striving to increase the amount and quality of our donations to them while coping with the unique logistical challenges and safety concerns we currently face.

We will be delivering food to the following recipients:

Military Assistance Pantry, Paterson

a once a month pantry serving military families and veterans, run by the Great Falls Rotary Foundation.

Most requested items: tuna, canned fruit, baked beans, spaghetti sauce, salt/pepper sets, paper towels, shaving cream, and deodorant

Food Pantry at Trinity Church, Dover

Hearty soup, chili, stew (the higher protein is better), canned chicken, Spam, tuna, Vienna sausages, peanut butter, 100% fruit juice, shelf-stable milk, powdered milk (smaller pouches preferred), healthy cereal, instant oatmeal, rice and rice mixes (smaller packages preferred).

St. Andrews Church, Newark

Weekly lunch program and food pantry
Single service tuna, sardines, chicken, Vienna sausage, etc. in easy open cans or pouches; Individual packets of cookies, crackers, and chips; single service fruit drinks and fruit cups.

 

North Porch Women & Infant Centers

Provides emergency aid, in the form of baby supplies, to mothers and infants in northern NJ. 
Enfamil powdered formula (12.5 oz , yellow canister), baby cereal, diapers (larger sizes), wipes, diaper rash cream, baby wash.

To support the fresh food ministry for the First Baptist Pantry, or to contribute towards Dunkin Donuts cards for the Military Assistance Pantry, you can donate to Food for Friends here.

nourish.NJ

Formerly: Community Soup Kitchen

During the pandemic, the best way to support nourish.NJ is with a monetary donation through their website, which allows us to buy as-needed items on a day-to-day basis.
