Stations of the Cross for Kids
The March 18 service has been cancelled.
Grace offers a twice monthly services especially suited for families to worship together. Children ages 3-10, and their families, begin in the parish kitchen by making pizza together at 5:30 pm with Father Asa. Next everyone joins Pastor Hilary for a craft in Nieman Hall while the pizza cooks.
The Way of the Cross was a custom of pilgrims in Jerusalem, stopping to pray at different places along the way in that city associated with Jesus’ last days on earth.
Artwork representing each station, such as statues or paintings are used in the church service. In 2019, our young people created a photo representation. The Passion of Jesus means the suffering of Jesus. It is sad to think about how much this must have hurt Jesus, but shows us that as well as being the Son of God, Jesus was a human who suffered real pain with us, and understands us when we suffer pain too.
