SUMMER SUNDAYS (Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend)

8:00 am Holy Eucharist Rite I

A traditional service with organ music and hymns, followed by coffee hour.

10:00 am Holy Eucharist Rite II

Like the 9 am service during the program year in most respects. The children’s chapel service takes place in our outdoor chapel, and nursery care for infants and toddlers is available. Beginning in late June, when the regular choir season is over, all are invited to sing in the summer choir (arrive at 9:30 to rehearse), and soloists and small groups sing the anthems. Refreshments follow the service, and a craft project for children is provided during this fellowship time.

6:00 pm Holy Eucharist Rite II

A simple service in the side chapel, without music. Still “Last Chance Mass!”

SUNDAYS

7:30 am Holy Eucharist Rite I

A traditional service, with organ music and hymns, followed by coffee hour.

9:00 am Holy Eucharist Rite II

The largest Sunday service, with music by adult and youth choirs. Nursery care is available for infants and toddlers. Children preschool through second grade participate in their own service in our children’s chapel on the lower level during the first part of the service. Children third grade and above are invited to leave the service during the sermon for a “gospel gathering “in the church library. Both groups rejoin their families in the main service during the sharing of the Peace, for Holy Communion. Many in the older group participate in the service as acolytes or choristers. The service is followed by refreshments in the parish hall.

10:30 – 11:10 am — Christian Formation

  • Sunday School for preschool through sixth grade meets in classrooms on the lower level, Godly Play for pre-K and kindergarten children, and Sunday School for grades one through six.
  • Youth Groups – Junior Highs meet in the teen room on the lower level, Senior Highs in the room on the second floor.
  • Adult Forum – a variety of topics is offered throughout the program year

11:15 am Holy Eucharist Rite II

This service takes place in the front of the church and is a smaller, quieter service that includes more silence for meditation and Taizé music starting at 11:10 am and during the service when possible. From Labor Day through Memorial Day, we use the Rite 1 Liturgy on the first Sunday of the month at this service.

6:00 pm Holy Eucharist Rite II

Known as “Last Chance Mass,” this is a simple service in the side chapel, without music.
