Daily Worship
As a community of prayer, Grace Church has at least one service every day of the year.
In addition to the Eucharist, which is celebrated on all major feast days and on Wednesday
and Thursday mornings, Grace also offers Morning and Evening Prayer. These simple and
meditative services, sometimes called "The Daily Office" or sometimes just "The Office,"
consist of prayers, psalms and readings from Scripture. They are "come as you are" services
and are usually led by lay members of our church, not by the clergy.
In addition to these weekly services, we hold daily Evening Prayer services Monday through
Friday, at 5:30 pm, during Advent (the season which precedes Christmas) and Lent
(the season which precedes Easter). Also, in Lent we offer a brief weekly Chanted Compline service,
on Thursdays at 9 pm and a Noonday Prayer service on Fridays, at 12:15 pm. The Noonday Prayer features
an organ recital and is followed by a box lunch in the parish hall.
